Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct product/module teardowns and develop detailed SOPs to support repairability and eco-design (e.g., EU Battery Regulation 2027).
• Validate materials for biocompatibility, packaging, and energy standards.
• Perform root cause analysis in internal labs on materials and systems.
• Collaborate with design, AppleCare, and compliance teams to implement regulatory strategies.
• Manage environmental compliance across product development systems.
• Lead projects under tight timelines and ensure milestone delivery.
• Automate and streamline compliance processes using PLM tools.

Required Qualifications

• AS or BS degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related field).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, particularly in hardware and systems.
• Demonstrated experience in product teardown and writing detailed, repeatable SOPs.
• Proficient with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Quip, Confluence).
• Excellent critical thinking and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience supporting environmental compliance or sustainability initiatives in product design.
• Familiarity with eco-design principles, biocompatibility standards, and EU environmental regulations (especially battery regulations).
• Experience using PLM and environmental impact assessment tools.
