Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop BMUs, focusing on detailed board-level design from concept to mass production.
- Optimize performance and minimize volume by pushing the boundaries of technology.
- Collaborate with teams such as Product Design, System EE, Firmware, and Algorithms to ensure timely and budget-friendly development.
- Develop schematics and BOMs, and guide PCB layout to meet physical and electrical requirements.
- Specify and source custom parts and PCBs for BMUs.
- Analyze designs using simulation tools (e.g., PSPICE, ANSYS, Verilog) and validate them through prototype testing.
- Conduct design reviews, incorporate feedback, and release finalized documents for production builds.
- Define production test methods and limits, working with CM partners to implement designs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in analog and power electronics design.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout design for mixed-signal boards (e.g., Cadence, Altium, Eagle).
- Skilled in design validation and prototype bring-up.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong EE fundamentals in circuit design for microcontroller-based embedded systems.
- Familiarity with inter-module communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SMBus, SPMI).
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing and production test automation.
- Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python, Shell, MATLAB) for data analysis and test automation.
- Excellent time management, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently under pressure in dynamic environments.
