We are seeking a Principal Product Manager – Inventory Management to lead product strategy, roadmap, and execution for enterprise inventory management and supply chain planning capabilities. This role will own the end-to-end inventory management platform, driving solutions across demand forecasting, merchandise financial planning, assortment planning, allocation, replenishment, and inventory optimization. The ideal candidate will partner with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, data-driven products that improve inventory productivity, forecast accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and execute product strategy, roadmap, and vision for enterprise inventory management and planning platforms.
- Lead product development for demand forecasting, merchandise financial planning, assortment planning, allocation, replenishment, and inventory optimization.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Operations, Analytics, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable product solutions.
- Translate complex business requirements into product roadmaps, user stories, and functional requirements.
- Drive Agile product delivery, backlog prioritization, and release planning.
- Utilize data, SQL, business metrics, and analytics to prioritize features and measure product success.
- Lead modernization of planning workflows through automation, AI/ML, and advanced analytics where applicable.
- Evaluate technical solutions, manage dependencies, and collaborate with architecture and engineering teams.
- Improve operational efficiency by reducing manual processes and implementing scalable, system-enabled capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Product Manager supporting inventory management, supply chain, merchandising, planning, or retail technology platforms.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, demand forecasting, merchandise financial planning, assortment planning, allocation, replenishment, and inventory optimization.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale planning, ERP, merchandising, inventory, or supply chain technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Lean delivery methodologies.
- Experience using SQL, analytics, and business metrics to drive product decisions.
- Familiarity with forecasting, optimization, automation, AI/ML, or advanced analytics solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to manage complex initiatives, influence across matrixed organizations, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
