We are seeking an experienced Principal Network Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in data center networking, routing, switching, and network architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise with HPE Juniper networking platforms, including QFX, PTX, MX, and EX series, along with proven experience in network automation and Python scripting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and resilient data center network architectures.
- Lead the development and deployment of routing and switching solutions across complex data center environments.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Juniper QFX, PTX, MX, and EX platforms.
- Develop network architecture and technical solutions aligned with performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
- Analyze complex network issues and provide root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.
- Develop and maintain network test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Write Python scripts and automation tools for network validation, configuration, monitoring, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with network, systems, security, and infrastructure teams on architecture and implementation initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, network standards, design documents, and operational procedures.
- Participate in network upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and technology evaluations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in data center networking, routing, switching, and network architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with Juniper Networks platforms, including QFX, PTX, MX, and EX series.
- Strong understanding of data center networking concepts, routing protocols, switching technologies, and network architecture.
- Proven experience developing network test automation and validation frameworks.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network and infrastructure issues.
- Ability to develop technical designs, documentation, and implementation plans.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Familiarity with APIs, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing methodologies.
- Experience working in large-scale or hyperscale data center environments.
- Knowledge of modern data center architectures and automation practices.
- Experience with EVPN/VXLAN and other modern data center networking technologies.
