Principal Dynatrace Platform Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise Dynatrace platforms across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
• Design and implement self-service automation workflows, APIs, and CI/CD integrations.
• Configure and optimize Dynatrace capabilities, including Davis AI, OneAgent, ActiveGate, synthetic monitoring, and distributed tracing.
• Implement observability standards, governance policies, tagging strategies, and alerting frameworks.
• Develop Configuration-as-Code solutions using Monaco and Terraform.
• Automate monitoring processes using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and application teams to improve performance and system reliability.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident post-mortems.
• Develop technical documentation and architecture guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise APM, observability, and platform administration.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with Dynatrace; Master-level or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Dynatrace OneAgent, ActiveGate, Davis AI, and synthetic monitoring.
• Experience with Dynatrace APIs, Monaco, Terraform, and Configuration-as-Code.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, distributed tracing, and enterprise observability architecture.
• Excellent technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dynatrace advanced-level certifications.
• Experience implementing enterprise-wide observability strategies.
• Knowledge of automated remediation and performance optimization.
