Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Calibration Engineer with hands-on experience in engine controls development and End-of-Line (EOL) calibration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal combustion engines, data acquisition, and advanced calibration methodologies, along with proficiency in industry-standard tools and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement End-of-Line (EOL) calibration strategies for assigned powertrain modules
- Perform EOL testing on vehicles and fine-tune calibrations to meet performance and compliance targets
- Develop, execute, and maintain EOL test scripts
- Utilize OEM-specific diagnostic toolchains to validate OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) features
- Conduct root cause analysis of EOL validation issues and develop prototype models to resolve them
- Analyze test data and optimize calibration using advanced techniques and design of experiments (DoE)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure calibration robustness and compliance with emissions and performance standards
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in development and calibration of powertrain engine control features
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engine fundamentals and engine technologies
- Experience in data acquisition, data processing, and analysis
- Proficiency in calibration and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and INCA
- Working knowledge of engine analysis tools, emissions development, and competitive benchmarking
- Experience with CANalyzer, UDS diagnostic protocols/services, and CAN/LIN communication protocols
- Familiarity with calibration processes, including Design of Experiments (DoE) and advanced optimization techniques
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced simulation tools for powertrain systems
- Exposure to OEM diagnostic toolchains and validation processes
- Knowledge of emissions regulations and compliance requirements
