We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform / Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive experience in the IBM System i environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions for IBM Power Platform applications, focusing on high availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions for Power Platform applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of Power Platform environments, including deployment, monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure that all solutions adhere to best practices for high availability and security. Conduct regular assessments and updates to maintain compliance and protect sensitive data.
- Continuously monitor system performance and implement enhancements as necessary. Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for infrastructure-related issues, working closely with development and operations teams to resolve challenges efficiently.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures. Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices and new technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and management, to align infrastructure strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in infrastructure architecture, specifically with IBM System i and Power Platform applications.
- Strong knowledge of IBM Power Systems and AIX
- Proficiency in Power Platform tools and technologies
- Experience with cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Solutions Expert) are preferred.
