Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models using DAX, Power Query, and best practices.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from SQL Server and Snowflake into Power BI datasets.
• Optimize performance of dashboards and data models through efficient data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and access control through implementation of appropriate BI governance and security practices.
• Participate in regular code reviews, documentation, and team meetings to support an agile and collaborative development process.
• Work effectively in a globally distributed team environment, ensuring timely communication and collaboration across time zones.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with Power BI development including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance tuning.
• Experience integrating data from SQL Server and Snowflake.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and BI security best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable insights.
• Mandatory experience working in a globally distributed team model.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or retail.
• Knowledge of additional BI tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
• Microsoft Power BI Certification is a plus.
