Roles and Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle databases supporting the Teamcenter PLM application, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
• Oversee the health of Teamcenter Oracle databases, perform proactive monitoring, analyze performance metrics, and implement tuning solutions (e.g., query optimization, indexing).
• Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and high availability.
• Develop and manage large-scale database replication and synchronization across environments (e.g., dev, test, prod, remote sites).
• Apply advanced security protocols and best practices to protect sensitive PLM data from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with internal and external data policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Oracle database systems, storage, and infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level database support and guidance to cross-functional teams, including application developers, infrastructure teams, and end-users.
• Implement, review, and optimize indexing strategies to improve query performance and database efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, preferably supporting PLM systems like Siemens Teamcenter.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 12c/19c and related tools.
• Proven experience in database replication, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle security features and data protection best practices.
• Familiarity with PLM data models and Teamcenter architecture is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter deployment and infrastructure.
• Oracle DBA certification (e.g., OCP) is a plus.
