PLC -- Senior Drilling Controls Engineer

Detailed Job Description:
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Controls, or Automation Engineering (or related field)
⦁ 7+ years of proven PLC programming experience
⦁ Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal
⦁ Proficiency in developing complex control algorithms and applying control system theory
⦁ Experience in HMI design and development (Ignition, WinCC, Wonderware or similar)
⦁ Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, CANBUS, OPC UA, etc.)
⦁ Ability to translate functional requirements into control system architecture and scalable solutions
⦁ Experience designing system, loop, block, and network diagrams
⦁ Experience generating technical documentation, drawings, and operation manuals
⦁ Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLC-based control systems
⦁ Experience working with formal software change control, versioning, and revision management
⦁ Knowledge of modular programming practices, source code management, and QC/testing methodologies
⦁ Ability to work independently while managing multiple parallel projects
⦁ Strong written and verbal communication skills
⦁ Willingness and ability to work in field environments, including drilling rigs, with travel and on-call support requirements
