Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain PKI infrastructure, with a focus on Venafi and Microsoft Certificate Services.
• Oversee certificate lifecycle management including issuance, renewal, and revocation across internal and external environments.
• Work with certificate authorities (e.g., DigiCert) to ensure proper integration and compliance.
• Ensure proper configuration and security of TLS/SSL certificates in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with application, network, and infrastructure teams to provide secure certificate-based authentication solutions.
• Conduct technical assessments of certificate environments and recommend improvements or migrations as needed.
• Document PKI policies, procedures, and operations.
• Support cross-functional teams in identifying and resolving certificate-related issues.
• Participate in audits and compliance reviews involving cryptographic operations and certificate usage.
• Lead or contribute to PKI-related projects from planning through execution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing Venafi in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft PKI (Active Directory Certificate Services) and Active Directory.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux server environments.
• In-depth knowledge of TLS/SSL, digital certificates, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with certificate authorities (e.g., DigiCert) and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of security principles and regulatory compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX).
• Ability to work independently, drive technical initiatives, and deliver high-quality results.
