Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide deep knowledge of prescription processing, medication dispensing, inventory management, and pharmacovigilance, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and DEA regulations.
• Advise on Pharmacy Management Systems (PMS), e-prescribing tools (e.g., SureScripts), and medication tracking/barcoding solutions.
• Lead API development and integration using Java or .NET, and manage SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Stay current on US healthcare regulations and ensure systems meet compliance standards.
• Translate pharmacy business needs into technical solutions, managing expectations and collaborating across teams.
• Analyze pharmacy workflows and identify opportunities for optimization using technology.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, medication dispensing, and supply chain management.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, DEA, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
• Proficiency in API development and integration (e.g., Java, .NET).
• Strong experience with SQL and database systems like Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with pharmacy technology systems (e.g., Pharmacy Management Systems, e-prescribing tools, barcoding/medication tracking solutions).
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and healthcare IT systems.
• Experience with interoperability solutions and data exchange standards (HL7, NCPDP, Surescripts).
• Strong ability to analyze workflows and translate business needs into technical requirements.
