Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy of off-cycle checks, final payments, and separation pay by thoroughly reviewing each transaction.
  • Update and reconcile leave balances in EcoTime for separated employees to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies.
  • Review, approve, and initiate off-cycle and final payment requests (E-078 transactions) for exceptional payments, ensuring they align with policies and documented procedures.
  • Conduct audits and investigate identified overpayments, initiating E-078 overpayment corrections as needed.
  • Ensure that all payroll transactions comply with relevant regulations and company policies related to separation pay and off-cycle payments.

 

Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems to ensure proper payroll processing and compliance.
  • Ability to use spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and reporting. Experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivots, Sumifs, Vlookups) is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills to identify issues, analyze data, and suggest solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with strong interpersonal skills and active listening abilities.
  • Ability to manually calculate employee checks and audit employee timecards for accuracy.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team to provide consistent service to employees and departments.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles to ensure accurate financial transactions and reporting.

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education, and/or training.
  • Several years of experience in finance and/or payroll processing, with a solid understanding of payroll systems and processes.
