Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end rating engine implementation and enhancements for P&C products
• Collaborate with business analysts and solution architects to convert business requirements into technical designs
• Configure and maintain rating rules, tables, and calculations to support product pricing
• Ensure seamless integration of rating engines with internal and external systems
• Review and validate rating logic to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance
• Support testing cycles, defect resolution, and production deployments
• Enforce configuration standards, governance, and best practices across rating components
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance as needed

Required Skills

• Strong experience in design, configuration, and implementation of rating mechanisms within the P&C insurance domain
• Expertise in developing and maintaining:
  • Rate books
  • Rate tables
  • Rate routines and rating algorithms
• Proficiency in rating mechanism programming and rating frameworks
• Hands-on experience integrating rating engines with:
  • Billing systems
  • Claims systems
  • External rating services
• Strong understanding of product models and pricing logic
• Experience in unit testing, regression testing, and validation of rating changes
• Ability to document rating configurations and maintain change history.
