We are seeking a skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PL/SQL, experience working with North American clients, and exposure to Unix/Linux environments. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining database-driven applications and data warehouses.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document applications to meet user requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance existing PL/SQL programs, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Collaborate with application teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop batch processes for data migration, transformation, and reporting.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
- Maintain project documentation and adhere to SDLC processes.
- Model, design, and maintain data warehouse structures, including tables, views, and functions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues; provide on-call support as needed, including weekends.
- Stay up-to-date with new coding languages, database technologies, and industry best practices.
- Participate in process analysis, requirement refinement, and provide technical input for system improvements.
- Lead and support tasks in system implementation, operations & maintenance, and software development projects.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to assess impact, provide estimates, and participate in agile ceremonies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL (advanced queries, performance tuning).
- Experience with Quest SQL Navigator, Toad, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS environments (8i, 10g, 11g, 12c).
- Exposure to debugging, troubleshooting, and software maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with North American clients.
- Familiarity with financial domain processes is a plus.
- Ability to implement shared components and frameworks in Linux/Solaris environments.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, supply chain planning, or fulfillment modules is an advantage.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to work in North American shift timings and provide on-call support on weekends.
