Role Overview:

• 12+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with strong expertise in cross-platform database migration and Oracle GoldenGate replication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and validating migrations of large-scale Oracle databases across heterogeneous platforms (AIX, RHEL) while ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work onsite with client stakeholders to design and implement cross-platform Oracle database migration strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and Transportable Tablespaces.
• Configure and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time replication and zero-downtime migration.
• Perform pre-migration assessments, compatibility checks, and develop migration runbooks.
• Optimize database performance post-migration and troubleshoot any issues.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data consistency during migration.
• Collaborate with application teams to validate functionality after migration.
• Document processes, best practices, and provide knowledge transfer to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong Oracle DBA experience (12c, 19c) including installation, configuration, and administration.
• Hands-on experience with cross-platform migration techniques (RMAN CONVERT, Transportable Tablespaces, Data Pump).
• Expertise in Oracle GoldenGate configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
