We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain Oracle database systems hosted on AIX. The role focuses on platform-level administration and troubleshooting, ensuring database performance, stability, and high availability. This position does not include support for the Oracle EBIS application itself but requires strong expertise in Oracle platform administration and related Java clients.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle database systems, including installation, configuration, upgrades, consolidation, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance.
• Manage 7 instances of EBIS 11 on AIX platforms.
• Perform platform troubleshooting to identify and resolve database and server-level issues.
• Support Oracle Java clients and Red Hat Java proxy clients.
• Execute periodic maintenance tasks such as resolving stuck jobs, restarting services on proxy servers, and performing weekly system reboots.
• Monitor database health, system performance, and ensure uptime and availability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams for platform-level escalations and performance optimizations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA on AIX platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with Oracle Java clients and Red Hat Java proxy clients.
• Expertise in platform-level troubleshooting; application-level support is not required.
• Ability to perform regular maintenance tasks and ensure system stability.
