Job Description

Oracle APEX Developer responsible for production support, enhancements, and new development of Oracle APEX applications, including conversion of legacy Microsoft Access applications. The role includes mentoring internal teams and supporting long-term APEX capability.

Responsibilities
  • Provide production support for Oracle APEX applications (troubleshooting, bug fixes, performance tuning, minor enhancements).
  • Monitor application health and resolve issues proactively.
  • Lead Microsoft Access to Oracle APEX application conversions.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy APEX solutions.
  • Collaborate with business users, DBAs, and external vendors.
  • Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and contribute to coding standards and documentation.

 

Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of Oracle APEX development experience.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
  • Experience building and supporting complex APEX applications.
  • Knowledge of APEX components, security, and Oracle Database architecture.
  • Experience with application migrations (Access/Oracle Forms to APEX).
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.

 

Preferred
  • Git/version control experience.
  • Oracle Forms or Microsoft Access background.
  • Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Public sector experience.
