Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the performance of IT systems (servers, storage, and networks) while understanding the critical role OT plays in the operation of production systems and industrial control environments.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring seamless integration between IT and OT environments.
• Utilize advanced network analysis tools such as Solarwinds and Wireshark to monitor and diagnose issues, ensuring optimal network performance.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate OT systems (DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI) with IT infrastructure, ensuring continuous operations and minimal downtime.
• Maintain detailed documentation of OT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Regularly report on system health, network performance, and potential vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards for cybersecurity, operational integrity, and system management (including ITIL practices).

Requirements

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (networking, servers, storage) combined with hands-on experience with OT systems (DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI).
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), SDWAN, and associated technologies. Proficient in configuring and managing networking hardware.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation.
• Proficient in network monitoring tools (e.g., Solarwinds, Wireshark), capable of diagnosing connectivity issues and optimizing network performance.
• Experience managing physical and virtual servers, with expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server OS (installation, configuration, administration), Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
• Previous experience in an OT environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and resolve issues swiftly, with a strong focus on maintaining uptime and security.
