Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain OpenStack services and solutions, including patches and improvements, written in Python.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance of OpenStack cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent issues related to cloud infrastructure, especially in RHEL KVM environments.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy OpenStack-based solutions to support IaaS infrastructure in both private and public cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
• Contribute to the OpenStack community by submitting patches, bug fixes, and enhancements.
• Manage and optimize virtual machines, networks, and high availability in OpenStack environments.
• Work with containerized applications using Helm, ArgoCD, and other DevOps tools.
• Develop and implement security policies for cloud deployments, utilizing tools like Conjur/Vault.

Required Technical/Functional Skills

• 8+ years in IT, with at least 5+ years of experience in Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Extensive experience in configuring, optimizing, and maintaining virtual machines, networking, and high availability within RHEL KVM environments.
• Strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and/or CentOS development, build, and operations.
• Proficient in Python and experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in deploying and managing infrastructure using OpenStack in private and public cloud environments.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Helm, ArgoCD, Conjur/Vault.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and post-deployment support.
• Ability to contribute to OpenStack community projects and submit patches.
