Seeking an experienced Onsite Resident Engineer to act as the primary technical interface between Stoneridge and OEM customers. The role focuses on vehicle-level integration, issue analysis, and validation support, requiring strong automotive systems knowledge and hands-on debugging skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact between Stoneridge and OEM engineering teams.
- Support vehicle testing, system integration, and field issue analysis.
- Reproduce issues, collect logs, and perform root-cause analysis using tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, Wireshark, and oscilloscopes.
- Support flashing, configuration, and calibration on test benches and vehicles.
- Log and track defects in tools such as JIRA, DOORS, DAVIE, or DSA.
- Collaborate with offshore and core engineering teams by providing clear reproduction steps and logs.
- Communicate risks, critical issues, and status updates proactively to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic systems and ECUs (Instrument Cluster, Telematics, Displays, Cameras, Gateways).
- Experience with CAN/LIN/Ethernet vehicle networks.
- Working knowledge of UDS, OBD, DTCs, and automotive diagnostic tools (Vector, ETAS, OEM tools).
- Basic understanding of embedded software/firmware and log analysis.
- Experience with system integration and validation (bench and in-vehicle).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
