Job Description

Seeking an experienced Onsite Resident Engineer to act as the primary technical interface between Stoneridge and OEM customers. The role focuses on vehicle-level integration, issue analysis, and validation support, requiring strong automotive systems knowledge and hands-on debugging skills.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the single point of contact between Stoneridge and OEM engineering teams.
  • Support vehicle testing, system integration, and field issue analysis.
  • Reproduce issues, collect logs, and perform root-cause analysis using tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, Wireshark, and oscilloscopes.
  • Support flashing, configuration, and calibration on test benches and vehicles.
  • Log and track defects in tools such as JIRA, DOORS, DAVIE, or DSA.
  • Collaborate with offshore and core engineering teams by providing clear reproduction steps and logs.
  • Communicate risks, critical issues, and status updates proactively to stakeholders.

 

Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic systems and ECUs (Instrument Cluster, Telematics, Displays, Cameras, Gateways).
  • Experience with CAN/LIN/Ethernet vehicle networks.
  • Working knowledge of UDS, OBD, DTCs, and automotive diagnostic tools (Vector, ETAS, OEM tools).
  • Basic understanding of embedded software/firmware and log analysis.
  • Experience with system integration and validation (bench and in-vehicle).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
