Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the Product Backlog & Roadmap — Define, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog for inventory management, sourcing rules, scheduling logic, and order orchestration modules, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer impact.
- Drive Domain-Led Requirements — Leverage SME-level expertise in inventory availability (ATP/AFS), sourcing algorithms, fulfillment scheduling, and allocation logic to author detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications that engineering teams can execute against with clarity.
- Translate Business Complexity into Product Increments — Decompose large-scale sourcing optimization and inventory management capabilities into well-defined, sprint-ready features—balancing business urgency, technical feasibility, and cross-system dependencies.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Decision-Making — Serve as the single point of accountability for product decisions; partner with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Store Operations, and Technology leadership to align on priorities, trade-offs, and go-to-market readiness.
- Validate Delivery & Business Outcomes — Own UAT sign-off, sprint demos, and release acceptance; ensure delivered features meet functional requirements and drive measurable improvements in sourcing accuracy, inventory visibility, fulfillment cost, and order cycle times.
- Champion Continuous Improvement — Analyze production performance data, customer feedback, and operational KPIs to identify optimization opportunities—feeding insights back into the backlog to drive iterative enhancements across sourcing and scheduling capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in Product Owner / Product Manager roles within Order Management, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain domains.
- Deep functional expertise in sourcing logic, scheduling rules, inventory segmentation, allocation, and fulfillment orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with OMS platforms (IBM Sterling OMS, Blue Yonder, or equivalent).
- Strong Agile/Scrum practitioner with experience using JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
