We are seeking a skilled Windows System Administrator with strong virtualization expertise (Nutanix/VMware) and SQL Server experience. The candidate will maintain and optimize Windows infrastructure, manage virtualization platforms, support SQL environments, and ensure system reliability and security.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows patching.
- Support VMware and Nutanix virtualization platforms (installation, maintenance, performance).
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement and manage backup/recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting.
- Collaborate with development, application teams, and customers to resolve system issues.
- Maintain security best practices including system hardening and vulnerability management.
- Produce documentation for system configurations, procedures, and change controls.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of Windows system administration experience in mid to large-scale environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (installation, maintenance, tuning, scripting).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
- Strong knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).
- Experience with ITIL/change management is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused with strong collaboration abilities.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Hybrid Server Administrator
- Microsoft Certified: Administrator Associate
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
