Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled NoSQL Cassandra DevOps Developer with hands-on experience in Datastax Cassandra, automation, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing NoSQL environments, while also contributing to automation and deployment pipelines in cloud and containerized environments.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize Datastax Cassandra and Apache Cassandra clusters (2–5 years experience required).
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline operations.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure system reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Perform Linux/Unix system administration, tuning, and monitoring.
  • Manage code deployments and infrastructure provisioning across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system and application issues; work on incident resolution and postmortems.
  • Monitor and evaluate vulnerabilities (CVEs), and interpret logs from cloud, platform, system, and security tools (e.g., IDS/IPS).
  • Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of new infrastructure and application deployment models.

 

Required Skills & Experience
  • 8 years of total IT experience, with 2–5 years in Datastax Cassandra and Apache Cassandra.
  • Proficient in Python for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes.
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration and performance tuning skills.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
