Role Summary

We are looking for an exceptionally strong Node.js Architect who can own the end-to-end technical architecture of a complex, enterprise-scale program and confidently represent the technology vision in front of a demanding client.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall backend architecture using Node.js for large-scale, high-availability, high-performance systems.

• Design scalable, secure, and resilient microservices architectures.

• Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices across teams.

• Make critical technology decisions and handle trade-offs under ambiguity and pressure.

Client & Program Ownership

• Act as the primary technical face to the client.

• Lead architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, and technical discussions with senior client stakeholders.

• Handle challenging client conversations, defend architectural choices, and provide clear, confident recommendations.

• Translate business requirements into clear, executable technical solutions.

Core Backend & Architecture

• 15+ years of overall IT experience, with strong depth in backend architecture.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js in enterprise environments.

• Deep understanding of event-driven, asynchronous, and non-blocking architectures.

• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and service contracts.
