Responsibilities:

• The NCDIT-T Network Field Services team travels throughout the state to install the physical infrastructure to NCDOT and NCDMV buildings. 
• Installing CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling is the primary role. 
• Termination and testing of CAT 5/6 and fiber optic cabling is a necessary skill set. 
• Any Cisco switch and IP camera experience is a bonus. 
• Installations may include working in attics, crawl spaces and office environments. 
• If needed spending a night out to complete work next day at far remote offices, all travel will be in state owned vehicles.

Skill Required:

• CAT 5/6 network cable installation / termination / testing    
• Fiber optic cable installation / termination / splicing / testing    
• IP camera installation / testing    
• Cisco Switch configuration / troubleshooting
