A Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of an organization's computer networks. Their primary goal is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems by preventing unauthorized access and mitigating potential security threats.
Required Qualifications
- Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP), web traffic encryption/decryption, PKI and certificates
- Familiarity with network access control model and network security
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Skills
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewall configuration and management
- Knowledge of web traffic filtering, monitoring, and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with Panorama for centralized management of Palo Alto firewalls
- Experience with network security policies, rules, NATs, and security profiles.
