Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement networking solutions in a data center environment to support high availability and performance.
• Evaluate and test new datacenter platforms and technologies in a lab environment, providing feedback for optimization and deployment strategies.
• Plan and design scalable, resilient, and high-performance network architectures, including IP addressing, routing, and load balancing.
• Utilize architecture and design principles to enhance network deployments and operational efficiency.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve network provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on Python programming.
• Update and maintain network tools and platforms, including monitoring systems, inventory management, and reporting tools.
• Ensure systems are optimized for performance, accuracy, and security.
• Work closely with the operations team to assess platform performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure all new networking solutions meet quality, security, and performance standards before full deployment.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for network deployments and updates.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Senior-level experience in network engineering, specifically with datacenter networking, load balancing, and network automation.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on network architecture, datacenter technologies, and large-scale deployments.
• Proven experience with network automation and scripting, particularly in Python.
• Experience with switching, bridging, and routing within datacenters, as well as automation techniques for scaling and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with various datacenter technologies, including routing protocols, load balancing solutions, and high-availability network design.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge and experience with the following:

• Network Protocols & Technologies: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, MPLS, QoS.
• Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multicast Protocol, VXLAN, EVPN, IPv6.
• Advanced load balancing technologies and architectures, including global and local load balancing.
• Proficient in Python and other network automation frameworks (Ansible, Netmiko, etc.).
• Experience with network monitoring, reporting, and inventory systems (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
• Familiarity with F5, HAProxy, Nginx, or similar technologies.
