Job Description

We are seeking a Network Engineer specializing in deployment and security to manage, validate, and optimize network infrastructure. The role includes site surveys, device deployment, performance tuning, and documentation to ensure secure, high-performing, and scalable network operations.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute network device discovery, uplink tracing, and cabling path validation for accurate infrastructure baselining across buildings.
  • Perform physical site surveys and inventory audits, capturing device locations, rack layouts, and fiber/copper patching details.
  • Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and OneAsset inventory systems, reconciling physical findings with engineering records.
  • Support hardware certification for Cisco and Arista platforms, including configuration validation and lab-based testing.
  • Conduct installation, removal, and functional testing of network devices following IES engineering validation procedures.
  • Provide weekly operational support, including building walks, device checks, inventory updates, and gap remediation.
  • Facilitate vendor onboarding, credentialing, and access provisioning for IES systems, repositories, and device management tools.
  • Assist project managers with task tracking, milestone reporting, and ADO updates to ensure transparent progress.
  • Participate in site reviews and coordination sessions with internal teams to validate findings and address operational gaps.
  • Integrate updated physical and logical network data into enterprise systems, ensuring readiness for regional and global expansions.

 

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Network Switching (LAN), Network Routing (WAN), and Network Performance Tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco network devices and network security principles.
  • Experience in network deployment, auditing, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with inventory and asset management systems (OneAsset) and network lab testing.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for project execution and operational support.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
