Lead the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of enterprise-grade network infrastructure specifically tailored to meet BFSI workload demands.
Architect, implement, and maintain Kafka-based messaging systems for efficient real-time financial data streaming, processing, and integration.
Develop and maintain backend tools and automation scripts using Core Java and Linux shell scripting to streamline operations.
Ensure that all network and system configurations meet relevant BFSI regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, SOX, and FFIEC.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and application development teams to integrate secure network infrastructure with other systems and ensure smooth deployments.
Take ownership of performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical infrastructure.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, contributing to the development of technical best practices and knowledge sharing within the team.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures to support team collaboration and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering, Linux system administration, and backend development, ideally within regulated industries such as BFSI.
Advanced proficiency in Core Java development, with experience in backend system integrations.
Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including cluster setup, tuning, and monitoring for real-time data processing.
In-depth understanding of enterprise networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, routing) and security best practices.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack to ensure system reliability and performance.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologies for efficient application deployment.
Proven experience working in compliance-driven environments with stringent availability and performance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Kafka certification or equivalent hands-on expertise.
Experience with financial transaction systems, payment gateways, or trading platforms is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and BFSI-specific configurations.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical direction and contribute to team success.
