Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of MuleSoft-based integrations and APIs, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
• Design and implement secure APIs, managing the full API lifecycle using Mule 4.x, including development, deployment, and versioning.
• Design and implement integrations using a variety of technologies such as Oracle, Hadoop, SQL, Kafka, .NET connectors, etc.
• Ensure secure API development practices are followed, including authentication, authorization, and encryption techniques to protect sensitive data.
• Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business goals.
• Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures for integration-related tasks.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of session management and how it applies in MuleSoft integrations.
• Provide detailed design documentation, ensuring all design decisions and integration flows are well-documented for future reference and maintenance.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, offering support in problem-solving and troubleshooting complex integration issues.
• Advocate and implement MuleSoft development best practices, including but not limited to:
  • Usage of fragments, templates, and reusable components.
  • Logging and error-handling frameworks.
  • Common data model design and validation.
  • Property value encryption for sensitive configurations.
  • Object Store considerations for data management.
  • Scheduled jobs, duplicate data detection, and handling.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically as a MuleSoft Architect.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Mule 4.x design and development.
• Proficiency with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, Mule ESB, and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Strong understanding of integration with technologies such as Oracle, Hadoop, SQL, Kafka, and .NET.
• Expertise in secure API development, including OAuth, SSO, and other security protocols.
• Advanced knowledge in SQL, including experience writing stored procedures and complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with session management in integration environments.
• Familiarity with MuleSoft best practices for logging, error handling, data validation, property encryption, and duplicate data handling.
• Experience with Object Store, scheduled jobs, and data flow control.
• Experience with DevOps tools and processes, including CI/CD for MuleSoft.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
