Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot MQ and MQIPT
  • Test latest MQ/MQIPT versions and patches for OS compatibility
  • Create and validate installation packages for developers
  • Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures
  • Implement and maintain MQ/MQIPT security
  • Renew and manage X.509 certificates
  • Create and maintain documentation and KB articles
  • Adhere to ticketing SLAs and ITIL processes
  • Provide on-call production support
  • Mentor team members and implement best practices
 
Required Technical / Functional Skills
  • Extensive experience with IBM MQ and MQIPT
  • Proven experience in installation, configuration, upgrades, decommissioning, new deployments, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with IBM Support to open and manage trouble tickets
  • Strong knowledge of X.509 certificates (renewal, management, troubleshooting)
  • Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills
  • Perl scripting and C experience (preferred)
  • SAFE Agile / ADO adherence
  • ITIL process and ticketing support experience
  • Ability to provide on-call support
