We are seeking an experienced Mobile Automation Engineer with strong expertise in mobile application testing across iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Appium and Java, along with strong capabilities in manual testing, API automation, and continuous testing.
The role involves testing mobile applications, backend APIs, Spring Boot microservices, and AWS-based cloud-native solutions. The candidate should be proficient in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensuring application quality across functional, regression, integration, performance, accessibility, and security testing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable mobile test automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications using Appium and Java.
- Develop, review, and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile applications, APIs, and end-to-end business workflows.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, accessibility, usability, performance, and security testing.
- Validate mobile applications across multiple devices, operating systems, platforms, and environments.
- Develop and maintain API automation suites using REST Assured, Postman, and related testing frameworks.
- Test AWS-based applications and services, including AppSync, API Gateway, GraphQL APIs, and DynamoDB integrations.
- Perform testing of Spring Boot microservices, backend services, and enterprise application integrations.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles.
- Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, traceability matrices, and automation assets.
- Execute manual testing cycles, identify and document defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Participate in defect triage, sprint planning, release validation, and production readiness activities.
- Support performance testing initiatives using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Ensure compliance with mobile accessibility standards, OWASP mobile security guidelines, and enterprise quality standards.
- Leverage AI-assisted testing approaches to improve test automation coverage, efficiency, and productivity.
- Review automation scripts, provide technical guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes.
- Prepare and publish test execution reports, defect metrics, test summary reports, and quality status updates.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production validation, and post-release verification.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in mobile application testing across both iOS and Android platforms.
- Strong automation experience using Appium and Java.
- Experience developing and maintaining mobile automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and automated testing practices.
- Strong experience in API automation using REST Assured and Postman.
- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and backend service testing.
- Understanding of AWS services, particularly AppSync, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and cloud-native application architectures.
- Experience testing Spring Boot microservices and enterprise integrations.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing, test case design, test execution, exploratory testing, and defect management.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, accessibility, performance, usability, and security testing.
- Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous testing.
- Understanding of mobile accessibility standards and OWASP mobile application security guidelines.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
