Seeking an Email Security SME with strong experience in Proofpoint and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 to support enterprise email operations. This is a Tier 2 support role focused on email gateway operations and Service Desk escalations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support for email security and messaging environments
- Manage Proofpoint operations: message tracing, quarantine investigations, spam/false-positive analysis, and delivery troubleshooting
- Act as escalation point for Service Desk email-related issues
- Support Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online environments
- Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex incidents
- Follow ITSM processes (incident, request, problem management)
Required Skills
- 3+ years in email operations / messaging / email gateway support
- Hands-on experience with Proofpoint (message search, quarantine, case management)
- Strong understanding of SMTP, email headers, bounces, SPF/DKIM/DMARC
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online
- ITSM experience
