Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Metering Technical Lead to guide the development and delivery of utility metering solutions from Meter-to-Cash processes. The ideal candidate will combine deep functional knowledge of utility systems with technical expertise in Itron products and Customer Information Systems (CIS) to drive end-to-end delivery of user stories and technical solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, and system analysts, to understand requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned user stories, including technical specification, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other technical resources while managing individual deliverables and meeting development commitments.
  • Translate high-level solution designs into actionable technical specifications and Jira activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to deliver assigned user stories and features.
  • Ensure smooth, conflict-free releases with adequate test coverage.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve issues and risks as they arise.
Required Technical/Functional Skills
  • Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant Meter-to-Cash experience with strong technical and functional expertise.
  • 2+ years of experience with Itron products such as IEE (UIQ experience preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Utilities Customer Information Systems (CIS).
  • Ability to translate user stories and acceptance criteria into detailed technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in developing, testing, and deploying code in lower environments.
  • Experience with business process definition and coding standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Jira for creating, updating, and managing user stories.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with utilities metering software lifecycle management.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Familiarity with system integration and data migration processes in utility domains.
