Seeking an experienced Metering Systems Specialist with hands-on expertise in Itron headend platforms including MV90, Temetra, FCS, and UIQ. The role involves meter configuration, data collection, batch operations, troubleshooting, and integration support across utility systems.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Itron platforms: MV90, Temetra, FCS, and UIQ.
- Expertise in meter configuration, onboarding, interval/register reads, and event processing.
- Experience managing batch jobs, scheduling, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of AMI/AMR environments and utility meter data flows.
- Experience with integrations involving MDMS, CIS/Billing (SAP IS-U preferred), OMS, and analytics systems.
- Strong SQL and UNIX/Linux skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot data collection, batch failures, and integration issues.
Responsibilities
- Configure and support Itron headend systems and meter communication processes.
- Manage meter data collection, polling schedules, and batch operations.
- Troubleshoot meter reads, data anomalies, and operational issues.
- Support integrations between metering, billing, MDMS, OMS, and downstream systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure timely data availability for billing and reporting.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams in production support environments.
Preferred
- Utility industry experience (electric, gas, or water).
- Experience with SAP IS-U, AMI deployments, or meter migration projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
