Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Write and execute comprehensive manual test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
  • Perform testing on POS systems, including integration with third-party software and hardware (e.g., payment gateways, printers, cash drawers).
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear, concise defect reports. Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Utilize SQL to extract, validate, and verify data in databases related to POS transactions and configurations.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and integration tests to ensure the correct functioning of the POS system after updates or changes.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure a high-quality product.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and results. Ensure that all testing activities are accurately logged and tracked.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and overall product quality.

 

Required Skills/Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, with a focus on POS systems and third-party software integration.
  • Strong experience in writing and executing manual test cases, with an ability to identify test scenarios and edge cases.
  • Extensive experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and strong skills in writing clear, actionable defect reports.
  • Solid understanding of SQL for querying and validating data within relational databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in test execution and defect reporting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues, working with developers to resolve them.
