Job Description
Key Responsibilities

1. Techno-Functional Expertise

  • Configure and support Manhattan WMS (Active, SCALE, or WMOS) modules.
  • Lead system configuration, tuning, and performance optimization.
  • Write, review, and validate technical and functional specifications for:
    • Customizations

    • Reports

    • Interfaces and enhancements

  • Support WMS upgrades, patches, and custom developments.
  • Troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues across inbound, outbound, inventory, and labor workflows.

2. Solution Design & Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end WMS implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Translate warehouse operational requirements into system configurations.
  • Design and optimize workflows for:
    • Receiving and putaway

    • Picking and packing

    • Shipping and cross-dock

    • Inventory and labor management

  • Advise on system architecture, configuration strategy, and scalability.

3. Integration & Technical Development

  • Collaborate with developers on:

    • APIs

    • Middleware

    • EDI integrations

  • Design and support integrations between WMS and:

    • ERP systems

    • TMS

    • Automation systems

    • External partners

  • Utilize SQL, PL/SQL, Java, or scripting for data analysis, troubleshooting, and custom solutions.

4. Business Process Alignment & Compliance

  • Align WMS workflows with business, finance, and supply chain requirements.
  • Translate finance and compliance requirements into system solutions.
  • Ensure processes comply with SOX and local regulatory standards.
  • Define and track supply chain KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

  • Work closely with warehouse managers, supply chain leaders, and IT teams.
  • Act as the go-to subject matter expert for WMS optimization and issue resolution.
  • Conduct:
    • Requirement gathering workshops

    • Gap analysis sessions

    • Process mapping and documentation

  • Provide training and change management support for end-users, finance teams, and IT staff.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Functional & Domain Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations:

    • Receiving

    • Picking

    • Shipping

    • Inventory management

  • Experience with supply chain KPIs and process optimization.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Manhattan WMS (Active, SCALE, or WMOS).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL / PL-SQL, with exposure to Java or scripting.
  • Experience with API, EDI, and integration frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze data flows in and out of WMS systems.

Soft Skills

  • Strong documentation and process mapping skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven experience in training, change management, and user adoption.
  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
