Roles & Responsibilities

• Fully understand z/OS services structure, JES concepts, parallel sysplex/GDPS, and Catalog management.
• Supporting any hardware or software upgrade in the environment.
• Expertise in tuning and debugging performance problems for z/OS systems including application workloads.
• Perform problem diagnostics and resolution. Monitor system performance and tune when required.
• Capable of z/OS Performance Analysis using various tools such as IBM's RMF, SMF, and subsystem analysis tools.
• Capable of designing IODF from scratch.
• PARMLIB configuration and JES customization capable of installing regular maintenance (RSUs).

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Knowledge of JCL, REXX, CLIST, and Modify Assembler EXITS, z/OS HW, LPAR, HMC, installing ISV Products, USS management.
• Knowledge in designing CFRM structures, JES2/JES3, SMP/E.
• Knowledge of multiple Mainframe products such as Security Managers, Resource Managers, Performance Tools, Storage Managers, Schedulers, Applications Tools, and Hardware Managers.
• Familiarity with database security standard processes.
• Installing ZOS upgrade knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
