Responsibilities

• Programming, supporting applications, offering technical consulting, solving a variety of problems, testing debugging software, and serving as Mainframe Lead Developer
• Develop IBM Mainframe applications using JCL, COBOL, CICS, DB2 QL etc.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including design, development, integration, testing, implementation and support activities.
• Coding, testing and implementation
• Support QA UAT and regression testing
• Plan and Co-ordinate Software System Releases
• Provide information technology analysis, recommendations, and consultations
• Review and validate functionality documentation
• Design and develop test plans, test scripts, test estimation, test case review, and documentation

Required Skills

• Tech Lead with sound knowledge in Mainframe system with 8+ years of experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM and CICS.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving for various CICS related issues using Abend-Aid, TMON  and Omegamon tools.
• Good understanding on various concepts and how it works such as File Control, Task Control, Storage Control, Task Control, TDQ and TSQ  etc.
• Good working knowledge with various VSAM file organization.
• Understanding on how CICS region works, sound knowledge in various components of CICS region.
• Knowledge in Endevor, Dump Master, TLMS, OmniPlus product and US Retirement Domain is a plus.
• Hands on experience in production support will be a plus.
