Roles and Responsibilities

• Designs develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code using the following mainframe development components.
  
• Development of mainframe applications.
  
• Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  
• Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity in Infrastructure Positions.
  
• Working with other developers to create high-performance, scalable applications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  
• 6+ years of progressive IT experience as a senior mainframe engineer in large IT projects along with 2 or more years of project leadership experience. 
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, CICS, SQL, and other mainframe technologies.
• High level of expertise with JCL, Procs, TSO, and SPUFI.
• knowledge of industry-standard debugging tools, ISPW, and DB2 Stored Procedures is preferred.
• Experience with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS, z/VM, z/Linux, IBM System z).
