We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mainframe technologies and a strong understanding of software development life cycles. You will work on developing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Work with databases (DB2, IMS, or similar) and utilize JCL for batch processing.
- Manage and maintain VSAM files and related file structures.
- Develop and maintain COBOL stored procedures; experience with native stored procedures is a plus.
- Utilize tools such as Endevor, Changeman, File Manager, and SPUFI for code management and deployment.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in mainframe technologies.
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2/IMS, and VSAM.
- Experience with COBOL stored procedures; familiarity with native stored procedures is advantageous.
- Knowledge of mainframe tools: Endevor, Changeman, File Manager, SPUFI.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to work in Agile teams.
