Roles and Responsibilities

• Modifying existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, and improve performance.
• Providing CICS and MQ support for online systems.
•  Troubleshooting problems in CICS and MQ environments.
• Perform CICS/MQ Admin tasks supporting Application Changes from a CICS point of view.

Required Experience/Skills

• Experience working with: CICS Performance Analyzer, SAS, IBM Utilities, and diagnostic tools such as Omegamon and Mainview for CICS.
• Experience using Xpeditor, Strobe, CICS Explorer, SysView, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, CICS-CTG.
• Experience customizing ISPF Panels, RSU Maintenance, Analyzing, and Fixing CICS Abends.
• Strong knowledge of CICS, CICSPlex, and MQ on z/OS.
