Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mac Server Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize MacOS servers in a Data Center environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MacOS Server administration, server virtualization, and endpoint management tools such as Workspace ONE and JAMF. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, scripting expertise, and a keen focus on security compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain MacOS servers, ensuring compliance with security standards and patch management schedules.
  • Administer server environments using tools such as Workspace ONE and JAMF, including configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the Mac Support Team to implement and follow server management plans within the Data Center.
  • Automate server management tasks using scripting to streamline software patch installations and security updates.
  • Ensure servers are operating with up-to-date OS and security software.
  • Troubleshoot server-related issues, including DHCP, server IP configuration, and network identification/IP conflicts.
  • Package and deploy managed OS and software installations across Mac environments.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in server administration, preferably in MacOS environments.
  • Proven expertise as a Server Administrator with hands-on experience in MacOS Server administration.
  • Strong experience with Workforce ONE and/or JAMF, including server access and security profile configuration.
  • Proficient in server configuration, scripting, and automation for patching and software updates.
  • Solid understanding of server virtualization concepts and MacOS server architecture.
  • Knowledge of DHCP, IP configuration, and resolving network conflicts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Tanium and other endpoint management/security tools.
  • Expertise in automating administrative workflows in a Data Center environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution capabilities in complex server environments.
