We are currently seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to join our team. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems in our organization. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience working with Linux servers and a strong understanding of Linux operating systems and server administration.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and operating systems.
• Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and security hardening.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Linux systems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies for Linux servers.
• Monitor system logs and conduct regular security audits.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Linux systems with other infrastructure components.
• Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Stay up to date with the latest Linux technologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience as a Linux Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Ubuntu.
• Experience with server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
• Proficiency in command-line administration and shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Familiarity with system monitoring and logging tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or CompTIA Linux+ are preferred.
