We are seeking a seasoned Lead Architect to define and drive the technical strategy for legacy application modernization within a large-scale RV retail and services ecosystem. This role requires Chief Architect–level expertise, with hands-on experience modernizing complex, integration-heavy platforms while ensuring alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise target-state architecture aligned with business modernization objectives.
- Lead modernization strategies including re-platforming, re-architecting, phased migrations, and strangler patterns.
- Assess legacy applications, monoliths, ERP, DMS, and custom platforms to recommend modernization approaches.
- Establish architectural standards, principles, and governance for modernization programs.
- Ensure security, scalability, resilience, and performance across modernized systems.
- Collaborate with business advisors and executive stakeholders to align technology decisions with business outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership, design authority, and oversight across delivery teams.
Required Experience & Skills
- 15+ years in enterprise architecture and software engineering leadership.
- Proven success leading large-scale legacy modernization initiatives.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), APIs, integration patterns, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience modernizing platforms in RV, auto dealership, automotive retail, or large-scale retail environments.
- Deep understanding of ERP, DMS, CRM, and complex enterprise integration landscapes.
- Executive-level communication and decision-making capability (CIO / Chief Architect–level).
