As a LAN Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of network-related solutions. You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues and replace defective components as needed.
- Respond as needed to support requests that relate to LAN development and support.
- Provide off-shift support for critical incidents.
- Team members rotate through an on-call schedule, requiring occasional off-shift and weekend support calls.
- Work directly, as needed, with business partners and vendors with the integration of infrastructure.
- Design and implement processes and process improvements to aid in development and support.
- Follow the ITSM process and documentation for all changes.
- Collaborate with other technical teams as needed to plan and execute changes (i.e., firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer science or engineering-related.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible roles in the Network Engineering space.
- LAN implementation and support, knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), and switching configuration.
- Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches.
- Familiarity with Cisco equipment.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Experience with automation technologies and scripting.
- Experience with DNA Center.
- Wireless knowledge and experience.
