The Lab Senior Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing lab environments to support testing, validation, troubleshooting, and development activities. This role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving, and leadership in driving lab operations and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and manage lab infrastructure, equipment, and test environments.
- Lead complex testing, validation, and troubleshooting efforts across hardware, software, or integrated systems.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, operations, vendors) to support development and release cycles.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure lab compliance with safety standards, operational guidelines, and documentation requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Drive continuous improvement of lab processes, tools, and automation where applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong hands-on experience working in lab environments.
- Expertise in testing, validation, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ability to work independently on complex problems and lead technical initiatives.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with lab tools, instruments, and automation frameworks relevant to the domain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a senior or lead lab engineering role.
- Experience supporting large-scale or multi-disciplinary lab environments.
