Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced L3 .NET Application Production Support Engineer to manage and resolve critical production issues for enterprise applications. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance optimization, and close collaboration with development, DevOps, and business teams to ensure system stability and reliability.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Handle L3 escalations from L1/L2 teams for critical .NET application issues.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting using logs, debugging tools, and code analysis to resolve production incidents.
  • Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues and implement permanent fixes.
  • Apply patches, configuration changes, and performance optimizations to improve application stability and efficiency.
  • Support and maintain applications built on .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
  • Monitor production systems using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or Azure Monitor.
  • Optimize application performance, including API latency, SQL queries, and backend processing.
  • Manage Windows Services, scheduled jobs, and background worker processes.
  • Coordinate deployments and release activities with DevOps teams across QA, UAT, and PROD environments.
  • Review and assess production change requests through Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes.
  • Collaborate with developers to diagnose code-level issues and provide solutions or recommendations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for incident resolution steps, SOPs, and known issues.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during high-severity incidents or critical releases.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, providing timely updates and status during production events.

 

Desired Skills / Attributes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Expertise in production monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
  • Deep understanding of .NET ecosystem and enterprise application architecture.
  • Experience with cloud environments (Azure) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
