Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide L2 support for WCS 8.x applications across production and non-production environments.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to orders, payments, catalog, caching, and integrations.
  • Monitor batch jobs, scheduled tasks, and data feeds for failures or performance issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with development and infrastructure teams for permanent fixes.
  • Use APM tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.) for application health and performance monitoring.
  • Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical support.

 

Required Skills
  • 3–5 years of experience in application or technical support roles.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) 8.x or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, database, and web layers.
  • Working knowledge of DB2/Oracle/SQL Server and ability to write basic SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands and web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, load balancers, web servers).
  • Experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of multi-tier architectures and ITIL processes.

 

Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to integration workflows, job scheduling, and data feed processing.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python).
  • Experience supporting high-availability e-commerce environments.
