Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for WCS 8.x applications across production and non-production environments.
- Troubleshoot issues related to orders, payments, catalog, caching, and integrations.
- Monitor batch jobs, scheduled tasks, and data feeds for failures or performance issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with development and infrastructure teams for permanent fixes.
- Use APM tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.) for application health and performance monitoring.
- Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical support.
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in application or technical support roles.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) 8.x or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application, database, and web layers.
- Working knowledge of DB2/Oracle/SQL Server and ability to write basic SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands and web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, load balancers, web servers).
- Experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of multi-tier architectures and ITIL processes.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to integration workflows, job scheduling, and data feed processing.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python).
- Experience supporting high-availability e-commerce environments.
